Types of fire extinguisher
  • Dry chemical extinguisher

    A dry chemical fire extinguisher is the most widely used in Korea. Its main substance is ammonium phosphate. The sprayed chemicals are effective for all fires such as general and electrical fires due to their suffocation and suppression functions that covers the burning surface.
    However, as its fire extinguishing agent has different chemical properties from other types of dry chemical fire extinguishing agents, do not mix its agent with others.

  • Carbon dioxide (CO2) fire extinguisher

    Carbon dioxide is compressed at high pressure and filled into a container in a liquid form. As a carbon dioxide extinguisher uses a high pressure gas container, it is heavy and it is not easy to handle high pressure gas.
    However, since it is less polluted by an extinguishing agent and its electrical insulation is high, this extinguisher is widely used in electrical fires.

  • Halon Fire extinguisher

    A halon fire extinguisher is filled with halon gas (1301, 1211, 2402). The agent sprayed with transparent evaporative liquid is vaporized,
    and this extinguisher is suitable for oil fires due to its suffocation and suppression functions. In addition, its agent fire extinguishing agent is also effective against electrical fires due to its non-conducting characteristics.
    Its fire control function is great and is not harmful to the human body. However, it is dangerous when it is used in a sealed place for a long time.
